| Tockwith Training Services was established in 1971 on a disused World War Two Airfield at Tockwith and today located just outside York in North Yorkshire at Hessay on our 9 acre site comprising of our own private reversing area for practising test manoeuvres. We offer professional LGV HGV Training and PCV Training, together with other related courses such as lift truck operator training and a variety of Driver CPC courses. We own modern well equipped classrooms and purpose built new buildings for Health & Safety Recognised Lift Truck training courses and a vehicle maintenance workshop.
Choosing an LGV training driving school is often a difficult decision for many aspiring professional HGV, LGV, PCV & Forklift drivers, getting it wrong can be very expensive, time consuming and most importantly poorly prepare individuals for their new role as a truck or coach driver. There are always many considerations to be made between the different cost factors associated with driver training; driving schools can get this equation wrong and may provide driver training courses that are too short for the candidate to be successful, poor vehicles and poor instructors.

We are one of the few companies that will give you 7 hours driving per day, not watching or waiting but time spent behind the wheel. We would highly recommend that you always visit the training provider before paying any money, this is why we offer a one hour driving assessment to all our customers. Think of it like this; would you buy a new sofa without first sitting on it to make sure it's comfortable?
