Dear all at Tockwith Training
I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone at Tockwith Training for your support during my time spent with you training for my PCV and Driver CPC.
The fact that I passed first time was a credit to Paul my instructor who throughout my training worked very hard to sort out my driving and get me ready for the tests, at times I fell asleep at night thinking about roundabouts and bus stops and when I got up the next day they were still there in my mind.
When I had passed my PCV test and Driver CPC it was a fantastic feeling and I felt that I was a better driver after spending time with Paul. As an Instructor I felt he had given me 100% and more and he has given me a better understanding in driving standards not just for the test but for the years to come, for that I thank him very much.
Paul was outstanding and after meeting some of the other instructors it is clear that the tutorial level at Tockwith Training is of a very high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tockwith Training to anyone as the facilities and staff are first class, should Paul or any of the instructors wish to visit our workplace you are more than welcome as your training is playing a part in our business.

Hi guys, just wanted to send a message to say a massive thanks for the fantastic training I received from you for the Class C HGV licence.
The results say it all - from coming in as a fairly average car-driver having never driven anything larger than a 3.5T van, I passed the Class C test the other day with only 1 minor fault (picked up due to early nerves while still inside the test centre!).
The biggest thanks go to Stuart, who took me out for the week - I couldn't have wished for a better instructor. He knew exactly how to iron out all my problems and bad habits, ease me into driving the large vehicle, and build my driving to a much higher standard. He didn't just train me to pass the test, but went beyond that to help me to start thinking much more about the road and to become a better driver overall. He is very professional and a gifted teacher, very knowledgeable, really got the best out of me, and is a very friendly and likeable guy which enabled me to really enjoy the training as well. The encouragement and banter given by everyone was also spot on in getting me to learn fast and feel at ease.
I cannot fault the training given by Tockwith and, as said, the results speak for themselves. I definitely chose the right place to get my class C licence and would recommend you to anyone in the area. The fantastic training means a lot to me, as now I can confidently start my dream-job as an overland expeditions driver/leader knowing I've had the best preperation. I'll definitely send you some postcards from Africa!

Just like to say a big thankyou for getting me through my PCV test first time on 26/1/2009, especially to Lorraine for sorting out all the various test bookings, and the person who got me through with great perseverance Eddie. A very professional training programme very impressed with Eddie's knowledge and the way he enjoyed passing on this knowledge to myself to help me on my way to becoming a professional driver.

I am just writing to say a huge thank you for helping me pass my PCV test last week - thereby to achieve a lifetime ambition! It was a most amazing week. I do not think I have ever experienced such a steep learning curve in my life, not when learning to drive a car nor even when learning to drive steam locomotives on the Ffestiniog Railway, and it is all credit to you that I was able to pass the test after just five days of tuition.
Andy was an absolutely excellent instructor. I cannot fault the way in which he built on my progress as the days went by, and he seemed to have planned it so that I peaked at just the right time. In fact, disappointed as I would have been not to have passed, I was almost more concerned at letting Andy down!
In retrospect I really enjoyed the week. Apart from being such a good instructor, Andy was also great company - and I look forward to being able to give him a footplate ride on one of steam locos when he and his family come to North Wales, hopefully next year. .

Following my C1 driving course with you last week and the successful first time pass, I just wanted to write to you to pass on my sincere thanks.
My experience of your company has been nothing but first class from start to finish - from the initial advice and booking assistance given by Lorraine, to the assessment drive with Mike and then the actual course and tuition from Mike, Alan and Paul.
The information provided to me was excellent, your facilities and vehicles are second to none as are your training methods. The whole company is so professional, but vry friendly with it - something you don't often find.
I would like to say special thanks to Mike for all his patience, advice and expert tutition, which improved my driving no end from day one to test day. Thanks to Alan and Paul for drumming into me not to forget the left mirror and to Alan for his help with my reversing and his confidence in me - he helped me believe that I was good enough to pass, even though I had doubts! I hope Alan's career develops as he wishes. Thanks also to Eddie for his lunchtime humor!
Passing my C1 quickly has opened up many opportunities for me and will hopefully allow me to pursue a career in the Ambulance Service over the coming months.
You have a great company and a fantastic team at Tockwith Training and I will recommend you at any opportunity that I have. .

Just a quick note to say thank you for helping me pass my C class driving test last friday. I would normally invite all concerned for a slap up fish and chip supper at my shop but the sale went through yesterday!! Hurray!!

I returned home Thursday last week a happy man after passing my C+E test at the first attempt. I would like to offer a big thankyou to Stuart for his excellent training techiques and patience. It is very helpful when your instructor has confidence in you. I doubted my own ability to pass first time. Until now I have never passed a driving test at the 1st attempt.

Dear Mike and Lorraine,
I am writing to thank you all at TTS for the great time I had last week training for my PCV D test which resulted in a first time pass on Thursday. Andy was a superb instructor with a keen eye for detail. He was very encouraging and always explained clearly how to deal with particularly difficult or tight junctions which really boosted my confidence in handling the vehicle. The whole team at Tockwith was friendly, with no "them and us" divide between trainers and trainees. Meeting up for tea and coffee gave time for some light hearted banter, providing a welcome relaxation between the necessarily intensive and focused driving sessions.
You have a company to be proud of and I wish you all well for the future.
I had just one disappointment - having to give you the coach back at the end of the week!!

I'm writing to say a big thankyou to everyone at Tockwith Training. Having recently completed my LGV category C with a first time pass I couldn't be happier. From start to finish everyone at Tockwith has been so helpful, friendly and supportive. I would like to thank all the instructors for making me feel so at ease, I will be eternally grateful for all their advice and support on my test day, when I was feeling a little nervous to say the least!
Special thanks go to Laurie and Andy, my instructors. Both were extremely patient and encouraging throughout the week. Without them I feel sure I would have never passed before the changes in July and the thought of having to adjust to a new vehicle was daunting... Their unwavering belief in my abilities made me so much more positive about taking my test.
I would definitely recommend Tockwith Training to others, and I know many people who like me will need to pass a test to drive horseboxes. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire week, drank lots and lots of tea and met some really nice people! I am looking forward to going out and driving my horses to competitions and perhaps returning one day to do my class 1 artic!!

Many thanks for the photo taken after successfully passing my class C test on 23rd February. It was a great feeling to let the Volvo I trained in retire on a high note with a first time pass; it was a fantastic truck to drive.
Everyone at Tockwith went out of their way to help me with my course from my initial assessment up to the training and test, but a very special thanks must go to my instructor Eddie, who's mix of professionalism, humour and unending patience got me through after one week.
I can throughly recommend Tockwith's policy of one-to-one instruction as I would not have passed otherwise. With one instructor concentrating on my driving for a whole day I felt I was really making progress, and this made a huge difference to the speed at which I could develop.
I will definitely recommend Tockwith to anyone asking about LGV Training, and hope to return for class 1 in due course after I've gained some experience in class 2 vehicles - then I can turn the rest of Eddie's hair grey!

I came to Tockwith Training having passed my LGV C test with another provider, attracted by the prospect of doing my C+E training in an artic with a range change gearbox, rather than a rigid and trailer. I felt this would give me a much better start for the trucks I wanted to drive in the future. The training given was 1st class, the training vehicle was excellent and the one-to-one tuition worked very well. I enjoyed every minute of the training and passed my test 1st time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tockwith Training to anyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you all, including some of the 'scary' moments which I won't go into much detail about.
Can you please pass on my good wishes to all of the team but particularly to my individual trainer, Andy for his patience with me and his sheer professionalism. On Monday evening last I reflected that there was no way that I would be ready to take my test on Friday but with Andy's teaching skills and his belief in my abilities I did make the seemingly impossible happen and I came away with my PCV D licence.

This is a belated thankyou for your guidance and advice during my PCV course with you back in August. I have now been driving for Ingleby's Coaches for nearly two months (where's that time gone?) and thought I must put pen to paper before Christmas arrives!
I am enjoying the job very much, getting used to the long hours and also to manoeuvring a coach through seemingly impossible situations!
Seriously though, thanks Mike for your practical and professional instruction - I still hear your words in my head when I meet certain situations. Thanks also for your recommendation to Chris Ingleby - he's very particular about his drivers so I count myself fortunate to have got a job with him.
