Rough Telescopic Material Handler Lift Truck Training can be provided at our training centre in York or your site providing it has an area set aside of training free from distractions of work, a small room to use as a classroom and a lift truck for the whole duration of the course.

The duration of the course depends on a number of factors:
• Are the trainees novices or experienced but untested operators?
• How many up to a maximum of 3 trainees are going to be on the course?

We offer 4 types of lift truck training courses:

Novice
This course is designed for individuals that have never used a lift truck before. It doesn't matter if the operator does or does not have a car driving licence, the minimum age is over 16. The length of this course is 5 days with 3 operators.

Experienced
The experienced/existing operator course is designed for operators that currently use lift trucks but have had no formal training. Many of the basics that will be covered in the novice course will either not be required or will take far less time. The length of this course is 3 days with 3 operators.

Conversion
This course is designed for trained and tested operators on one type of lift truck to then be trained to use a different lift truck, for example rough terrain masted truck to telescopic handler truck. The length of this course depends on the differences between truck types but is normally 2 days with 3 operators.

Refresher
The refresher course is for trained and tested operators to be re-tested to make sure they are kept up to date on any new regulations and to keep their operating practices safe and effcient. This course normally lasts 1 day with 3 operators.
